My Video Editing Reel - [AllTradesProduction] - CSC Media Production 2015

Check out my past works of video editing, camera operation, effects editing and graphic design. From 2007 to 2013, I produced videos for digital distribution under the DBA "All Trades Production", as a videographer and editor working mostly in the comedy and music video fields.

With credits in Communication, Film, Graphic Design and Audio Visual training, I performed under the moniker "Black of All Trades" as a video mixologist, music video designer and composer, as well as documentary skit maker.

Over the years I have gotten the opportunity to work with gifted talents, including J. Anthony Brown (ComicView, The Rickey Smiley Show), Justin Hires (21 Jump Street, Disaster Date), King Cydal and Doboy Belcher (Wild'n Out), as well as for reputable companies such as Shutter Shades Inc., Internal Drive, SpaceX and Pepperdine Athletics.

Interests include videography, editing and effects, sound design, writing, comedy, 2D and 3D animation, culinary arts and space exploration.

Are those your arms?

Sometimes, I'll check out my brother's website, since we're still collaborating on liquidation sales, new product lines and photo shoots, commercials and the like. But...then I get confused. Since these photos are beheaded, I forget if that's me modeling these shirts, or our friend G. Looks like me, and I wanna guess I'd know my own torso and arms, even neck. Yeah, looking at the blue one, I remember I was making a goofy face. At the time, I didn't have any tattoos. My To Do list on my left forearm would have given it away...no luck. Ok, I'll just assume they're all me. I remember this day, went down to shoot in a studio in Hollywood with all of our wares. It was sunny, great weather for socal as always. Man...we still have some of these shirts. Mostly red. Buy a red one guys.

Seriously, if you'd like to check out the new site, find us at Shuttershades.co. We accept Paypal too. Speaking of which, keep a lookout for my donate and video request page, coming soon to Blogger, About.me and Fiverr.com.

Those are probably my arms, but obviously the 2008 version.

Black of All Trades and Doboy at it again!!

Anthony Belcher, Jr. (aka Doboy) is my boy from Sac Town, Bay Area stand up! He's been out here doin his comedy thing for a while...even had his daughter out here on his grind with him!! Anyway, we linked back up and he brought in the very talented Tanjareen Martin (be sure to look her up...this chick is HOT!) to direct the first in his latest series "Roomate Hate". I've seen some of Tanjareen's episodes for her show "Celibate Nympho", lemme jus say they're very entertaining. So anyway, Doboy plays a roommate who can't seem to get enough of his roommate's TV dinners, which pisses Donnivin Jordan off somethin awful. Did I mention the comedic talent n this episode? We got Tony Baker, a cameo by Tahir Moore, and it features Jillisa Lynn as Keisha...oooooooweeeee!

So, without further adieu, check out "Roommate Hate: Episode 1."

Oh, and if you haven't seen "The Battle", be sure to check it out...

Justin Hires presents...Street Fighter

Back when I was workin at the JSpot, there was this young up and coming comedian by the name of Justin Hires...went on first almost every night...bombed almost every night. Dude was gettin it in tho. Every time I came back, he had a new joke that always made me laugh, as I stood in the back of the house with my camera trying to concentrate and not shake. Later on, I ended up doin some work for Derrick Ellis who was hosting Comedy and Coffee at Starbucks in LA off Crenshaw...and I got a chance to chat it up with Ron G who was having a special at the JSpot, DC Irving, a funny ass comedian outta the Bay, and somehow ended up bumpin into Justin Hires who was doing skits already. I guess dude he was doin skits with was pissin him off...but I ended up talkin to DC about doin a skit with him, or both of them or somethin like that.

Anyway, DC ended up fallin off the radar, Ron G asked me to tape his DVD which he never used my footage for, and Derrick Ellis wasn't payin a nigga to drive all the way to Crenshaw and film for free. Nah kid. Anyway, Justin got referred to me since DC dropped outta the skit game, and we ended up collabin on a video he was doin about shifty characters just cuz the scene was in black and white...worked out pretty well, I even dropped a dope beat on it lol. GIMME YO PURSE...GIMME YO MONEY!! You can check out the video on his website HERE. It's called Black and White...also you can check out some of his other stuff.

So next...we had to hop on this Chris Brown and Rihanna thing when they started trippin...we was textin back and forth when the whole ish was goin down with the fake car chase that ended up bein Khaled lookalike dude...but we filmed it that weekend. Little did we know we were about to make history. Nah lol. But it was a smash hit, almost certified Youtube Platinum. Wowzers. (I'm bein sarcastic). Anyway, here's the video.

Aight, so back to the business at hand. We figured once the celeb shit kicked up again, we'd go back to what worked well for us. So off we went again and filmed the next 2. Check em.

It was mad fun doin these, shootin and editing. Gettin to kick it with the folks, joke around all day, not a bad job. Editing was tedious, with the photoshopping and keyframing and all, and the sfx and even the video game music. I made those in fruity loops, me and Justin recorded all the "ughs" and "aahs" for every character, and I dealt with all the graphics and whatever. We wanted to keep it simple and corny like old SNES games...so yeah. But anyway, we're probly off this weekend to film 1 or 2 more. Also keep a look out this weekend for videos featurin Justin Hires and written and starring Chaunte Wayans, the next generation of Wayans funny, doin it Anotha Way. And if you're lucky, a nice skit written by and featuring me...just gotta find a costar real quick who wants to make out. Aight y'all, catch u on the next one. In the meantime, enjoy the videos.
